Temari Sushi

Thank you for visiting!  In this cooking class, you can learn a unique way of making sushi. Temari Sushi is pretty ball-shaped sushi on which various ingredients such as vegetables, eggs, fish fillets are colorfully put. It's easy to make and looks very gorgeous! If you take it to a party, it will definitely attract people, and it would look great on Instagram, too. In this lesson, you will learn how to make "sushi rice", which is also used for other kinds of sushi. Once you learn it, you can arrange the toppings as you like. I hope you'll enjoy creating your original Temari Sushi!

Izumi Shibata

Teachers profile
Hi! I'm Izumi, a cooking instructor at Washocook. Born and raised in Unzen National Park in Nagasaki, which is famous for hot springs surrounded by beautiful mountains. Since my family has run a ryokan (Japanese-style hotel), I’ve learned Japanese hospitality, and it’s one of my dreams to have visitors from all over the world and make them happy with our delicious local cuisine. Because of its long history of international exchange, Nagasaki cuisine is a mixture of Japanese, Chinese and Western dishes, which was born out of the exchange between different cultures. I hope you can enjoy such unique Nagasaki cuisine with me online!
