Thanks to the meals she prepared based on advice from the hospital dietitian, I recovered and regained my health. Through that experience, I came to believe that food not only fills our stomachs but also nourishes our bodies and minds.\r\n\r\nAfter working as a hospital dietitian, I got married and devoted myself to raising my children. During my two and a half years living in the United States , I became pregnant with and gave birth to my second son. There, I learned how to make wonderful local dishes, such as barbecue sauce and lemon cake flavored with aromatic lemongrass.\r\n\r\nPregnancy, childbirth, and parenting in a foreign country brought many challenges and uncertainties\u2014differences in vaccination schedules, weaning practices, language, and culture. Those experiences allowed me to deeply empathize with the feelings of foreign mothers raising children away from their home countries, and inspired my desire to support them.\r\n\r\nAfter returning to Japan, I worked in various settings, including kindergartens, public health centers, and dental clinics, where I continued to learn and practice \u201cnutrition that supports health.\u201d I hope my work can offer ideas to help families rediscover the joy and richness of sharing meals together.","link":"https:\/\/washocook.com\/author\/nishikoyama-class\/","slug":"nishikoyama-class","avatar_urls":{"24":"https:\/\/washocook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/washo-admin\/profile_default-100x100.png","48":"https:\/\/washocook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/washo-admin\/profile_default-100x100.png","96":"https:\/\/washocook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/washo-admin\/profile_default-100x100.png"},"meta":[],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/washocook.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/363"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/washocook.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users"}]}}
