Japanese Dashi(Japanese soup stock) and 3 types of Onigiri(Japanese rice ball) Lesson

Welcome to this online "traditional Japanese cuisine" cooking class.
In this class, you will learn about Dashi (Japanese soup stock), and a how to use it for your dishes.
You will also learn and how to make  Onigiri(Japanese rice ball) by yourself with some techniques.
Dashi is Japanese unique soup stock, which brings out the flavor of the ingredients. Dashi creates a taste called “umami”, and it’s the core of Japanese food.

Onigir is a famous Japanese food made from white rice formed into triangular or cylindrical shapes and often wrapped in Nori seaweed. The name "onigiri" comes from the verb "nigiru" which means "to press and shape with hands." Onigiri can be the essential food of the picnics, a satisfying little snack for Children, lunch for workers etc....
